Dammit you guys :/ You could have told me that restoring firmware can brick my mobile! I have no idea what to do now, it turns on, blinks and turns off immediately. I have tried disconnecting the battery, flashing again as described in my YAESU FT2000 Service manual, restoring factory settings. Phone seems quite messed up now. For those fresh with my case let me remember you what actions I have made so far.
It all begun when I tried to upgrade firmware using service packages (procedure from my ZENITH DVD5201 Service manual, so: disconnecting battery, reconnecting,loading Phoenix (from PhoenixSlayer), selecting NO CONNECTION, then flashing prommer, selecting software. In the middle of service procedure – bam – phone restarts and turns off immediately.
I then tried to proceed with flashing as described in service manual – I turned off the phone again, removed battery, and upgraded in N/C mode this time with Refubrish rather than Restore User Product… it seemed as it was kind of working – the mobile started up nicely… but it took about a minute before it turned off again in the same way. Tried few more times – no luck so far.
I am really confused right now – I have followed Service Manual word-by-word and I was sure it won’t let me brick my phone… what should I do? Inb4: “read service manual”, “you’re an idiot”, ‘RTFM”. I REALLY TRIED.
